Rose Bianco, a classically trained actress, is best recognized for her portrayal of Miguel's doting grandmother, Rosa, on the Netflix series Cobra Kai. Her impressive small screen credits include a recurring role on Being Mary Jane alongside Gabrielle Union, a stint on New Amsterdam starring Ryan Eggold, and an upcoming appearance on Wandavision.
On the big screen, Rose has recently appeared in Ric Roman Waugh's Greenland and the Netflix original movie Project Power. In 2021, she will take on a supporting role in The Tomorrow War alongside Chris Pratt.
Born and raised in Chicago, Rose began her acting career at the Victory Gardens Theatre before attending DePaul University as a Speech and Drama major. She further honed her craft by studying acting with Ted Liss for two years.
Rose's early career was marked by her work with the theater company Les Nickelettes in San Francisco, where she originated the role of "Crystal Glitz" in The Didi Glitz Story: I'd Rather Be Doing Something Else, based on Diane Noomin's underground comix character Didi Glitz.
After gaining an Equity card in Ed Bullins' City Preacher at the renowned Magic Theatre, Rose relocated to New York, where she studied with Julie Bovasso and Bill Hickey. She appeared in various showcases, including a New Dramatist production, Public Transportation.
Rose took a brief hiatus from the spotlight to fulfill her most important role as a mother, before returning to show business in Atlanta, a city that had recently earned the nickname "Hollywood of the South."
