Born in the vibrant and historic Greenwich Village in 1949, Ross embarked on a remarkable journey that would shape his life and career. Prior to pursuing his passion for the performing arts, Ross served as a United States Marine, demonstrating his commitment to service and discipline.
Upon completing his military service, Ross went on to graduate with honors from Rutgers University in 1976, laying the foundation for his future academic and professional pursuits. Years later, in 1998, Ross earned a Master's Degree in Dramatic Arts from the esteemed Actors Studio at the New School University in Manhattan, further honing his craft and preparing himself for a career in the entertainment industry.
Before transitioning to acting full-time, Ross spent many years working as a singing bartender, a unique and formative experience that ultimately led him to pursue his dream of becoming a professional actor.
Throughout his career, Ross has established himself as a respected and accomplished character actor, with an impressive list of credits in film, television, and theater. He has had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry, including Academy Award winners Kevin Costner and Kim Hunter, as well as notable figures such as Will Smith, Michael Mann, Spike Lee, and Vincent D'Onofrio.
