Ross Lynch started his acting career by playing the role of 'Austin Moon' in the Disney Channel original comedy series "Austin & Ally". This role earned him four Kids' Choice Awards for 'Favorite TV Actor' from 2013 to 2016 and three Teen Choice Awards for 'Choice TV Actor: Comedy' from 2014 to 2016.
In the summer of 2013, Lynch starred as 'Brady' in Disney Channel's blockbuster original movie "Teen Beach Movie". The film premiered to 13.5 million viewers, making it the number two most-watched movie in cable TV history behind "High School Musical 2". Two years later, in 2015, "Teen Beach 2" aired to 7.5 million viewers.
In the summer of 2016, Lynch filmed a movie called "Status Update" alongside actress and singer Olivia Holt. He also starred in the movie adaptation of "My Friend Dahmer", playing the role of Jeffrey Dahmer, which received positive reviews at film festivals worldwide.
In 2017, R5 released their final EP "New Addictions" and single "Hurts Good". Later that year, Ross and his brother Rocky Lynch announced that they were working on a new project called "The Driver Era". The other members of R5 serve as the background band, while Ross and Rocky are in full control of the musical direction.
The Driver Era's first single "Preacher Man" became an instant alternative hit and gained them fans from a new demographic. The group embarked on their first national tour in the spring of 2019, with over half of the dates sold out.
In addition to his work with The Driver Era, Lynch landed the role of "Harvey Kinkle" in "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" in March 2018. He spent most of the year filming the show in Vancouver and working on music and playing festivals on weekends. "Sabrina" became the #1 Original Web Series of 2018 and is set to return with new episodes on April 5th, 2019.
In his personal life, Ross Lynch is best friends with Laura Manaro, and they regularly keep in touch with each other as best friends do.
