Biography

Ross Newton embarked upon his illustrious acting career in the early 1980s, commencing at the esteemed ST Martins youth theater and the Oxford Children's Theater in Melbourne, Victoria. This marked the beginning of his professional journey, which would eventually lead him to become a well-known figure in the Australian entertainment industry.

As his reputation grew, Newton scored several guest appearances on prominent Australian television shows, further solidifying his position within the industry. His outstanding performances did not go unnoticed, and he was subsequently accepted into the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney.

In 1989, Newton graduated from NIDA, equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle a wide range of roles. His early success in the theater world was followed by a steady stream of television work, including his iconic portrayal of Greg Marshall in the long-running Australian soap opera, Home and Away.
