Roxzane T Mims is a talented American actress who has made a name for herself in the world of stage, film, and television. One of her most notable roles is that of Darlene on the popular series "Greenleaf". Recently, she has appeared in a variety of projects, including "P-Valley", "The Outsider", "Doom Patrol", and "Council of Dads". Later this year, she will be seen in "Good Lord Bird" and is excited about the upcoming release of the movie "The Farmer and the Belle", starring Jenn Gotzon Chandler & Jim Chandler.
Roxzane's passion for acting began at a very young age, participating in community theater regularly. She was inspired by her mother, Catherine Barrow Williams, who was an opera singer and often performed on stage in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Roxzane grew up after moving from Detroit, Michigan. Her sister, Pantheah G Hawes, and Roxzane herself also shared a love for music, just like their mother.
During her high school years, Roxzane spent her time singing in music groups alongside members of famous groups such as "Switch," "The DeBarges," "Marvin Sapp," and "Byron Cage". She even competed in a local pageant in Wyoming, Michigan, where she won first runner-up, talent, and Miss Congeniality, losing to Kim Zimmer, who would later become known for her role on "General Hospital".
Roxzane has also explored her creative side by directing several 48-hour films as well as a short film titled "Five Smooth Stones", which is used in some schools as a teaching tool for dealing with bullying. Her love for acting was only rivaled by her desire to start a family.
During her college years, Roxzane met and fell in love, and she put her acting career on hold to start a family. She continued to participate in community theater, but focused on her family. As her children grew up, her desire for a professional acting career was rekindled, and in the mid-1990s, she got back into the industry. Slowly but surely, Roxzane is making a name for herself as a professional actress.
