Born Rubén Gomez Cotti, this talented individual embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of entertainment from a remarkably early age. At the tender age of four, he began taking classes in drama, dance, and guitar, laying the foundation for a future filled with music, dance, and performance.
As fate would have it, a movie called "A Time to Remember" presented him with an opportunity to showcase his remarkable talent in drama and singing, a chance that he grasped with both hands. This exposure led him to join the renowned Latin group Menudo, where he had the privilege of working alongside other talented artists, including Robby Draco Rosa, Ricky Martin, and Sergio Blass.
During his time with Menudo, Rubén recorded an impressive nine albums, spanning multiple languages such as Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Tagalog. He also had the privilege of embarking on international tours with the group, and in 1991, he decided to leave the group to pursue other opportunities.
In the years that followed, Rubén appeared in numerous soap operas, including Abigaíl, Alondra, and Los Últimos Héroes, all of which were set in Venezuela. He also had the privilege of performing in several Broadway musicals, including "Oliver" and "Z The Masked", the latter of which featured Debbie Gibson and Roberto Blades.
In addition to his work in theater, Rubén has released two solo albums, "Rubén Gomez" (1997) and "Siempre Mañana" (1999),both of which feature songs in both Spanish and English. Throughout his illustrious career, Rubén has demonstrated his versatility, talent, and dedication to his craft, leaving a lasting impact on the world of entertainment.
