Rutger Gunnarsson, a Swedish bassist of considerable renown, entered this world on February 12th, 1946, in the charming city of Linköping, which is nestled within the picturesque Östergötlands län region of Sweden. His impressive career in the music industry has been marked by a plethora of notable achievements, including his contributions to the iconic film "Mamma Mia!" released in the year 2008, as well as his work on the album "Murray Head: One Night in Bangkok" which debuted in 1985, and the concert production "Chess in Concert" that premiered in 1989.
Throughout his life, Rutger was blessed with the companionship of his loving wife, Ann-Christina Karlsson. Tragically, his life was cut short when he passed away on May 8th, 2015, in the capital city of Stockholm, Sweden.
