Ruth Rudnick, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and a proud alumna of The Second City Theater in Chicago, is a multi-talented individual who wears many hats, including those of an actress, writer, and improviser. Her illustrious career began in Boston, where she spent her days laughing for a living on the airwaves at WZOU FM as the charming and witty "girl" on the Boston Morning Zoo. Her impressive repertoire included impressions and made-up traffic reports, showcasing her impressive range and creativity.
After leaving Boston, Ruth made her way to Chicago, where she co-wrote and performed in over fifteen reviews alongside other talented alumni, including the likes of Jane Morris, Stephen Colbert, and Steve Carell. Her work in Chicago was nothing short of phenomenal, and it laid the groundwork for her future success in the entertainment industry.
Ruth's impressive resume boasts a string of notable credits, including her role as Nurse Wanda in the beloved film While You Were Sleeping. Since relocating to Los Angeles, she has led the charge in a network pilot (albeit one that has yet to be released to the public) and has made guest appearances on numerous television shows, including the critically acclaimed Curb Your Enthusiasm and the popular NCIS.
Beyond her work in front of the camera, Ruth is also a founding member of the All Girl Review and is currently pouring her heart and soul into the completion of her first book, a childhood memoir that promises to be a deeply personal and moving account of her formative years.
But Ruth's impact extends far beyond the realm of entertainment. She is the founder of Lead With Your Art, an organization dedicated to nurturing and promoting the arts among teenagers and young adults. Through her work with Lead With Your Art, Ruth is helping to foster a love of improvisation and the arts in the next generation of creatives, ensuring that her legacy will continue to inspire and delight for years to come.
