Ruth Alice Taylor, a talented actress born on January 13, 1905, or possibly 1908, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, began her journey in the entertainment industry at a young age.

As a child, her family relocated to Oregon, setting the stage for her future endeavors. At the tender age of nineteen, Ruth packed her bags and headed to Hollywood, California, where she started her career as an extra at Universal Studios.

Her big break came in 1925 when she signed a two-year contract with Mack Sennett, becoming one of his renowned bathing beauties. With her captivating perky smile and signature blonde spit curls, Ruth quickly rose to fame, earning the nickname "The Little Girl With A Big Personality."

Throughout her career, she had supporting roles in several comedies, including A Yankee Doodle Duke and The Pride Of Pikeville. Her impressive performances caught the attention of many, and she became a household name.

In 1928, Ruth landed the coveted role of Lorelei Lee in the film adaptation of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, beating out numerous other actresses for the part. That same year, she was honored as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars, a prestigious recognition in the industry.

Ruth's success continued to soar as she was offered a contract at Paramount Pictures, starring in the comedy The College Coquette. In 1930, she married stockbroker Paul Steinberg Zuckerman and welcomed a son, Buck Henry, who would later become a successful screenwriter.

After a decade in the spotlight, Ruth made the decision to step away from acting and focus on her role as a housewife. Her final acting credit was in the comedy short Scrappily Married.

Ruth and Paul lived a happy and fulfilling life together, residing in Palm Springs, until his passing in 1965. Ruth went on to live a long and fulfilling life, passing away on April 12, 1984, at the age of seventy-nine. She is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, California, leaving behind a legacy as a talented and beloved actress.
