Ryan Blaney was born on December 31, 1993, in Hartford, Connecticut. He began his racing career at a young age, competing in various go-kart and quarter midget series before transitioning to stock cars. Blaney made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East debut in 2011 and quickly established himself as a top contender, winning the series championship in 2012.
Blaney made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2012 and won his first race in 2014. He went on to win multiple races and finish in the top 10 in the standings several times before making the jump to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2015.
In the Cup Series, Blaney has driven for Wood Brothers Racing and has consistently finished in the top 20 in the standings. He has also won several races, including the 2017 Pure Michigan 400 and the 2020 Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500.
