Biography

Ryan Deal's acting journey began at a young age, starring in church and school plays. However, it wasn't until he was 13 years old that he realized his true passion lay in film acting. He went on to study acting in high school, where he landed roles in plays such as "A Christmas Carol", "Mark and Herald", and "Anne of Green Gables".

Upon completing high school, Ryan attended Walla Walla College from 2000 to 2001, pursuing a Theater Minor and Communications Major. During his time at college, he was the head news anchor for Blue Mountain News, the youngest in the school's history, and earned starring roles in two plays, "The Crucible" and "Dark at the Top of the Stairs". He also appeared in a student film, "Locus of Control", and a music video, "You Only Live Once", for the nationally distributed band "Not Long After".

However, Ryan soon realized that Walla Walla was not where his heart belonged, and he decided to pursue a career in film acting. He left college in 2001 and moved back to Portland, Oregon, where he studied acting with Sandra Peabody, a renowned acting teacher and student of Sanford Meisner.

Ryan was quickly accepted into the advanced class at the Young Actors Workshop and soon landed roles in several projects. In 2002, he appeared in the Nike-produced industrial video "Retail Heritage", and later that year, he was chosen as the lead male character in the widely released educational video "Pregnancy Prevention", produced by At Large Films.

In 2003, Ryan showcased his talents by becoming a supporting actor in Gary Adam's biopic "The Other Shore", which tells the story of one of Portland's most illustrious families. He then landed the leading role in the feature-length thriller "Decisions", produced by Full Realm Entertainment. Ryan's performance in "Decisions" brought to life a tormented soul, showcasing his depth of knowledge and preparation.

Later that year, Ryan took on another leading role in the suspense thriller "Harvest of Fear", produced by Legend Films. In this film, he played the role of a seemingly ordinary boy next door, but with a twist. Since completing these features, Ryan has been cast as Brady Black in the highly acclaimed soap opera "Rough Crossing" and is set to star in the comedy "High Desert Psalmist".
