Ryan Roxie is an accomplished American guitarist, singer-songwriter, and musician, renowned for his solo work and collaborations with notable bands such as Alice Cooper, Casablanca, and Slash's Snakepit.
Born in Sacramento, California, Ryan spent his childhood in Pleasanton, East Bay, where he was surrounded by music from a young age. His father, a talented trumpet player, and his mother, a drummer in her high school marching band, instilled in him a deep appreciation for music.
As a child, Ryan's initial interest lay in drums, but it wasn't until he was around eleven or twelve years old that he began to take guitar seriously. He taught himself to play by listening to old records and developed a passion for the instrument.
Ryan's early career was marked by his membership in various bands, including Candy, Electric Angels, and DPM. His big break came in 1996 when he was offered a one-year contract to work with Alice Cooper, a legendary musician who has been a significant influence on his career.
Ryan has been working with Alice Cooper on and off to this day, playing on multiple studio albums and contributing to the songwriting process. He has also been an original member and songwriter for Slash's Snakepit, Happy Pill, Casablanca, and has provided uncredited guitar work on Tal Bachman's hit single "She's so High".
In the early 2000s, Ryan formed Roxie 77 and released his debut album 'Peace Love and Armageddon'. He later released his first solo album 'Imagine Your Reality' in 2018.
Ryan is also a popular podcaster, with his YouTube channel boasting over 15,000 followers. His podcast, "In the Trenches with Ryan Roxie", has been running since 2019 and features in-depth conversations with some of the world's hardest-working musicians and entertainers.
