Sam's remarkable journey began in the Middle East, where he immersed himself in various dialects and languages, including Egyptian, Khaliji, Yemeni, Lebanese, Moroccan, Saudi, Farsi, and Dari/Pashtune. This linguistic and cultural odyssey laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
After completing his high school education, his family relocated to Greece, where he was introduced to a new culture and language. Shortly thereafter, they moved to the United States, specifically to Detroit, Michigan. Sam's formative years were spent in Detroit, where he attended Wayne County Community College and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.
The next chapter of his life took him to California, where he pursued higher education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He majored in Film and Cinema, honing his skills in the art of storytelling. Sam's academic journey continued at California State University, Northridge (CSUN),where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Motion Picture and Television in 1987.
Upon completing his studies, Sam embarked on a professional career in the realm of Motion Picture and Television (MPTV). As a freelancer, he collaborated with independent filmmakers and major motion picture companies, both locally and internationally. His impressive portfolio boasts a range of features and short films, catering to both the US and Middle Eastern markets.
Throughout his illustrious career, Sam has worked with renowned studios, refining his expertise and developing skills, methods, and guides to ensure a professional approach to his work. Notable films he has contributed to as a technical advisor include Iron Man, Body of Lies, and Green Zone. His television credits include Touch, NCIS, Weeds, and Homeland.
