Samo Rafael, also known as Samodra Angkasa Putro, is an Indonesian actor, model, and musician born on March 1, 1995. He resides in Jakarta, where he grew up, and embarked on his career as a model before transitioning into music and eventually acting.
Samo Rafael hails from a family with diverse heritage, his father being Indonesian, Untung Suwarto, and his mother, Frances Hazle, having Scottish roots. He is a Protestant Christian and has studied at Pelita Harapan University.
As the lead vocalist of the jazz fusion band Macadamia Nutcrackers, Samo Rafael has showcased his musical talents. Prior to this, he was a part of the band Gemalara, releasing three singles: "Di Wajahmu Kulihat Bulan", "Gemuruh", and "Sepi" in 2013.
In addition to his work with bands, Samo Rafael has released several solo songs, including "Life's A Pirouette", which explores the idea of life being a pirouette, "Milky", and his most recent single "Circles", which tells the story of the endless cycle of life in Jakarta.
