Sander Martin Levin, a distinguished American politician, was born on September 6, 1931, and embarked on a remarkable career in public service, spanning nearly four decades. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1983 to 2019, representing Michigan's 9th congressional district, which was previously known as the 17th District from 1983 to 1993 and the 12th District from 1993 to 2013.
