Biography

Sarah Mayhew is a multifaceted creative force, exceling as both an Actor and Director, while also serving as the Artistic Director of Old Trunk. Throughout her extensive career, she has made significant contributions to the realms of theatre, television, film, comedy, and radio.

Sarah's impressive resume includes stints as an Associate Artist at Queen's Theatre Hornchurch, Mercury Creatives at Mercury Theatre, and a resident artist at Metal & East 15. Her early career saw her work as a dancer, both internationally and in the UK, with performances, productions, and hosting credits for the critically acclaimed improv group Quirkish Delight.

In addition to her work in improv, Sarah has appeared in and written for numerous comedy sketch shows. Her recent credits are a testament to her versatility and range, including roles in ITV's hit drama Professor T, BBC's Toast of Tinseltown, and Sky's Hitmen 2, alongside Mel & Sue. Her film credits include My Brother is a Mermaid, a multi-award-winning, BAFTA- and Oscar-listed film, and the feature film Cottontail.

Sarah's theatre credits are equally impressive, with standout performances in Old Trunk's Fran & Leni, Pramkicker, The Bastard Children of Remington Steele, The Secret Life of Andy Williams, Russell Kane's Fakespeare, The Winslow Boy, The Sunshine Boys, Erpingham Camp, Danny & the Deep Blue Sea, Serving It Up, and Road. As a Director, Sarah was selected for the prestigious RYTD scheme under Douglas Rintoul at Queen's Theatre and served as his Assistant on DNA for Central School of Speech & Drama.

Under her direction, Old Trunk's 4- and 5-star shows, including Fran & Leni and Pramkicker, have been published by Bloomsbury Methuen and staged worldwide.
