Biography

Sarah C. Poindexter is a multifaceted creative professional with a rich background in both television and film, having written, produced, and directed for various networks, public television, Hollywood, and independent projects.

Her impressive filmography includes directing four feature films, with notable releases such as Soulful, distributed by Koch Entertainment, and The Greatest Song, set to be released in August 2009 through Image Entertainment.

In addition to her work in feature films, Sarah has produced and directed numerous documentary films, including The Tolerance Project, which explored the complex issues of diversity faced by teenagers. This thought-provoking documentary was nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy and received The National Telecommunications Award for best documentary series, airing nationally on public television.

Sarah is the founder and CEO of On The Reel, LLC, a full-service digital media production company specializing in promotional videos. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to telling stories that often go untold by mainstream media, regardless of the genre, whether fiction or nonfiction.

Sarah's educational background includes an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University, which she earned in 1999.
