Sarah Quist is a multifaceted artist who has honed her skills in various creative fields. Her professional journey began as a singer, performing with renowned musicians like Herbie Flowers, Steve Grey from Sky, Hazel O'Connor, and others in iconic London venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The 100 Club, and The Bass Clef.
Throughout her career, Sarah has wowed audiences with her powerful, soulful voice, singing Jazz, Blues, and Soul with various bands across the globe, including the United States, Australia, Spain, Thailand, and more.
As a recording artist, Sarah has been fortunate enough to collaborate on several albums over the years, including a project in Memphis with the legendary soul producer Willie Mitchell, who has worked with iconic artists such as Al Green, Tina Turner, and many others.
As a band-leader and songwriter, Sarah has led several bands, including Indian Spring and The Sarah Quist Quartet, performing both covers and original material.
In addition to her music career, Sarah is a trained actress, having studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA). She has had the privilege of working with esteemed companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theatre of Scotland, Disney productions, Talawa, and many others, alongside talented individuals like Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Cumming, Don Warrington, Rufus Norris, Alecky Blythe, Phillip Voss, and John Tiffany.
Recently, Sarah appeared in a production of King Lear, a joint venture between Talawa and Birmingham Repertory Theatre. She is currently part of the cast of Tom Stoppard's Travesties, directed by Patrick Marber.
As a teacher, Sarah is one of the Co-Founders of Creative Awakenings, an organization that utilizes the arts to facilitate learning for schools and community groups. Through her work, Sarah aims to improve people's confidence, communication skills, and social skills.
