Sarba Das is a renowned film and television executive who has garnered impressive accolades, including a Peabody Award and two NAACP Image Awards, for her work in the nonfiction genre. Currently, she holds the esteemed position of Head of Nonfiction at Media Res Studio, where she oversees the creative direction of the studio's documentary endeavors.
Prior to joining Media Res, Das served as the Head of Creative for Documentaries at A24, where she played a pivotal role as Co-Executive Producer on the critically acclaimed documentary VAL, which won a Critic's Choice Award. Additionally, she served as Executive Producer on the second season of the popular AppleTV+ series HOME.
Das's extensive experience in the documentary field also includes her tenure as Vice President/Head of Documentaries at Pilgrim Media Group, a Lionsgate Company. During her time at Pilgrim, she was the Executive Producer on the Peabody Award-winning series HIGH ON THE HOG, which premiered on Netflix.
