Biography

Sass Henno, a talented Estonian writer, was born on September 13, 1982, in the charming city of Tartu, Estonia.

His educational journey began at Miina Härma Secondary Grammar School in Tartu, where he spent his formative years from 1989 to 2001. Following his secondary education, Henno pursued higher studies in two distinct fields: computer graphics and advertising at Tartu Art College from 2001 to 2003, and film and video directing at the prestigious Tallinn University from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Henno has been furthering his creative skills by attending a master's level screenwriting course at the Baltic Film and Media School since 2007.

Henno's literary prowess was recognized in 2005 when he won the first prize in the Estonian Novel Competition for his remarkable work, Mina olin siin. Esimene arest. This achievement was followed by the release of a feature-length film based on the novel, titled I Was Here, in 2008.
