Scott King is a renowned American actor, screenwriter, and producer, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and raised on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, by his theatrical parents. His parents, June King and Bill King, a professional model and a World War II veteran, respectively, divorced at an early age and remarried when Scott was a teenager. Scott's older brother, Brent King, was a critically acclaimed jazz musician.
Scott's childhood was filled with creativity, as he often acted out characters, even impersonating his absent British Latin teacher on a multi-school radio network. He spent his childhood filming movies with friends using his father's camera in Lookout Mountain National Park.
Scott attended the University of Tennessee, majoring in Art with a minor in Theater, before moving to Los Angeles at age 22 to attend The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. He also trained with UCLA Film Studies and the Martin Donovan Intensive Study.
Scott's acting career was marked by interruptions due to his dedication to his family, often leaving Hollywood to be close to his parents during illness and death. He earned his SAG card playing minor roles throughout the 1980s and 1990s, working with notable actors and directors.
Scott's notable roles include SS Commandant Heinrich Moebius in Puppet Master X: Axis Rising and Jake in the multi-award-winning Indy film Intersection. As a screenwriter, he was nominated as Quarter Finalist and Semi Finalist in the Motion Picture Academy's The Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting.
In his personal life, Scott is married to Sandra King, formerly with Warner Bros, The Walt Disney Company, and 21st Century Fox, and they have two children, Wolfgang King and Natalia King. Scott founded Lion Crest Pictures and Lionheart Entertainment in 2012 to develop independent films.
