Yagemann, a seasoned screenwriter, drew heavily from his extensive experience as a teacher in the Los Angeles public school system, a career spanning seven years, to craft the screenplay for his debut film, One Eight Seven, released in 1997. Prior to his foray into filmmaking, Yagemann had honed his writing skills in the entertainment industry, penning episodes for several notable television series, including Love Connection, which premiered in 1983, Liar's Club, which debuted in 1976, and Jeopardy!, which launched in 1984. His impressive repertoire also includes writing for the Lifetime Channel.
Following his graduation from college with a degree in film and television production, Yagemann embarked on a career in the entertainment industry, starting as a page on the esteemed Norman Lear comedies, All in the Family, which originally aired from 1971 to 1979, and The Jeffersons, which premiered in 1975.
