Sean Jackson, a native of Detroit, Michigan, discovered his passion for creative writing at the tender age of 15, after being inspired by his first writing class and a particular film that resonated with him - the iconic Sergio Leone-directed movie, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly.
As he delved deeper into the world of storytelling, Jackson developed an addiction to the thought-provoking and suspenseful episodes of Rod Serling's Twilight Zone, which further fueled his creative fire. Writing soon became an essential outlet for him, a way to express himself and channel his imagination.
In October 2002, Jackson made the bold decision to relocate to Las Vegas, where he wrote and directed his first short film, In His Own. This initial foray into filmmaking sparked a sense of excitement and eagerness to create more, which led him to pen and direct another short film, Best Intentions, in 2006.
It was during this time that Jackson met Kathleen Shinn, with whom he would form a lifelong friendship and creative partnership. Together, they co-founded Brass Taurus in 2006-2009, under which Jackson, a self-taught director, brought his first web series, Detective Douchey, to life.
In the spring of 2010, Jackson and Shinn decided to launch a new production company, Somnium Productions, with the Latin term for "dream" serving as their brand. Under this banner, Jackson produced several more short films, including It's Karma Baby, Dying to Tell You, Sweet Ninja Brown, The Butcher & Pandress, and The Nowheres.
And now, with Bubblegum & Broken Fingers, Jackson and Somnium Productions proudly present their first full-length feature film, a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and a passion for storytelling that has only grown stronger with time.
