Sergio's journey in the film industry began with a foundation in theatre, but he soon found himself gravitating towards the world of film, particularly short films, as he started creating showreels for fellow actors in 1999. This marked the beginning of his career in advertising, as he was subsequently hired by Film Planet, a leading South American film production company, and quickly established himself as one of the hardest-working Argentinean advertising directors.
After five years of non-stop work, Sergio was invited to join Patagonik Film group, the largest film production company in Argentina, as they launched their advertising wing. However, he soon decided to venture out on his own, partnering with Metropolis Films, a production company with offices in Puerto Rico and Uruguay, to establish their local branch in Argentina.
As a director, Sergio has received numerous accolades for his work in advertising, music videos, and short films. His feature film debut, El Dedo, won the best first feature award at the Guadalajara Film Festival in Mexico and an audience award at the Festival des Films du Monde in Montreal.
Sergio has become a key player in the Argentine film industry, producing several feature films for other directors, including the critically acclaimed Serving the 70's by Alejandro Agresti. Furthermore, he was responsible for the production of the Netflix series about Pope Francis, Call me Francis, for TaoDue and Mediaset Italia.
