Shae LeRae Smolik is a renowned American actress, celebrated for her remarkable energy and emotional depth, which enables her to breathe life into her on-screen characters. As a natural-born actress, she possesses an unparalleled work ethic, coupled with a photographic memory, allowing her to memorize entire scripts within a matter of hours. Shae is exceptionally adept at taking direction, effortlessly making adjustments whenever requested to do so.
Her dynamic personality, which is both precocious and radiant, has the ability to light up a room with her captivating smile. Her facial expressions are truly phenomenal, having pleased numerous directors in their pursuit of capturing the perfect on-screen look.
Born as the youngest of five children, Shae's parents, Mark Smolik, a surgeon, and Jaime Smolik, a physician assistant, hail from a small town in rural Iowa. However, she now resides in Los Angeles.
Shae's journey in the industry began as a model at the tender age of six, under the representation of an Iowa-based agency. She eventually transitioned to commercials, showcasing her innate passion for performing. Her exceptional talent was recognized by her agent from Iowa, who suggested a move to Los Angeles for greater opportunities.
In her first few months in Los Angeles, Shae landed a principal role in a National Tide commercial, promptly becoming SAG eligible. She went on to book leads in short films, web series, and additional National commercials. Her feature film career commenced with Trafficked (I) (2016),opposite Elisabeth Röhm, in a dramatic and emotionally charged role.
Shae has recently completed two exciting projects: the lead in the horror/thriller tentatively titled The Hatred, produced by Malek Akkad, and the drama Pursued, directed by Doug Campbell.
To further hone her craft, Shae has studied with some of the finest acting coaches in Los Angeles and continues to work on her performance skills daily. As a brilliant student, she is homeschooled, allowing her to attend auditions or be on set at a moment's notice.
Beyond her acting abilities, Shae is an extremely talented gymnast, dancer, singer, and horseback rider. As an extroverted thrill-seeker, she is always eager to take on new challenges. Shae is proudly represented by Brad Diffley from Mavrick Artists.
