Shannon, a native of Pensacola, Florida, on the Gulf Coast, spent her formative years captivating her neighborhood friends with elaborate, week-long improvised dramas, an early indication of her innate passion for "playing make believe". This childhood enthusiasm would ultimately shape her destiny, as she became enamored with the art of filmmaking, particularly its ability to influence an individual's perspective and worldview.
Shannon's fascination with narrative films, backed by scientific studies, instilled in her a deep appreciation for the collaborative and communal nature of the filmmaking process. This appreciation would later manifest in her co-founding of Bee Nest Films and her partnership with Watergun Outlaw Productions.
The accolades began to pile up for Shannon when she won three awards for Best Leading Actress in a Short Film for her poignant portrayal of Katie in Lance Marshall's "The Demon Deep in Oklahoma". This impressive feat solidified her position as a talented and accomplished actress.
Shannon's writing and directorial debut, "RSVP", received widespread recognition, including a screening at the esteemed Maui Film Festival and a Goujon Caille Jury Prize at the Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival.
