Shanti Ashanti's name originates from her family's non-profit organization, Beit Hashanti, a rare shelter for homeless and abused youth based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Growing up with approximately 40 siblings at any given time, she was exposed to numerous unusual cases of kids in need of a loving home.
