Sharon Ceccatti Hill began her illustrious career in the entertainment industry, taking center stage in Pittsburgh as a singer and dancer in various operettas. When not performing, she honed her skills as a hospital nurse at a downtown Pittsburgh hospital, a profession that would later serve as a unique contrast to her later roles in the horror genre. Her most iconic role to date is that of the "lead zombie nurse" in the 1978 horror classic, Dawn of the Dead, which catapulted her to horror legend status across Europe, with her face featured prominently on posters and book covers.
Before her foray into the world of horror, Sharon worked as an uncredited extra in numerous films, including Hellraiser III, Knightriders, Maria's Lovers, Death Penalty, Silent Witness, Kid Brother, and many more. Her extensive career spans over two decades, with a focus on casting and location management. She has had the privilege of working with renowned directors such as Ron Howard, George A. Romero, Michael Chapman, Andrei Konchalovsky, and many others.
Sharon's impressive resume includes casting credits for films like Dominick and Eugene, Lady Beware, Gung Ho, Mrs. Soffell, and All The Right Moves, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Ray Liotta, Michael Keaton, Diane Keaton, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Leah Thompson, and Craig T. Nelson, to name a few.
Following her stint in film, Sharon took on the role of Assistant Director of Operations at a 26,000-seat amphitheater, where she oversaw a team of approximately 450 people during show seasons. The venue hosted a diverse range of acts, including Billy Joel, Phil Collins, Janet Jackson, Van Halen, Jimmy Buffett, AC DC, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Brooks & Dunn, Steve Miller, Neil Young, Reba McIntyre, and many more.
Sharon's next adventure saw her join the "David Copperfield Tour" as the world-renowned magician's personal assistant. She appeared on stage with him, traveling to various locations around the world, including Hungary, Czech Republic, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Switzerland, and 11 cities in Germany. The duo performed an impressive 500 shows per year, with stops at iconic venues like Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Lake Tahoe.
Since then, Sharon has dedicated herself to scouting locations for movies, with one of her most memorable experiences being a month-long scouting expedition in Spain, followed by a few days in Morocco, primarily searching for bullrings. Occasionally, she receives movie scripts, breaks down parts, and recommends actors for specific roles.
