Shekhar Sirrinn, a multi-talented individual, was born on June 19, 1977, in the vibrant city of Pune, Maharashtra. His early years were spent in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, where he completed his schooling. It was during this time that he developed a deep fascination for the works of the legendary singer Kishore Kumar, which marked the beginning of his journey into the world of music and cinema.
Born to parents Keshav Nambi and Satya Bhama, Shekhar has two siblings, an elder brother named Shankar and a younger sister named Sapna. His brother, Shankar, played a significant role in nurturing his passion for music, as he began giving musical concerts at the tender age of eight. The young Shekhar's talent was recognized and encouraged by his brother, setting the stage for his future endeavors.
Shekhar's professional journey began in 2002, when he joined an AD film production company as an Assistant Director. He then worked at a TV channel, Real Estate TV, as a producer and programming head for four years. His stint as the Creative Head at Godfather Creative, a media production company, lasted for three years. During this period, he also ventured into music albums and directed ad films as a freelance director, a pursuit that spanned five years.
In 2017, Shekhar made his debut as a writer-director with the film "Chicken Curry Law," which featured a talented ensemble cast including Ashutosh Rana, Makrand Deshpande, Zakir Hussain, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Natalia Jonaszek, a Polish actress.
Currently, Shekhar is working on his second film, code AL, which is in pre-production and features Sunil Shetty and an ensemble cast. This film is based on a military covert operation and will be entirely shot in Afghanistan.
