Sheldon Inkol was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production from York University in Toronto. Following his academic achievement, Inkol embarked on a multifaceted career within the Canadian film and television industry, cultivating a diverse range of skills and credits.
As a writer, Inkol's notable credits include CARVER'S GATE (1996),SPECIMEN (1996),DARK SIDE (2003),and HELLBOX (2021). His directing credits comprise CARVER'S GATE, HELLBOX, and the short films FRIENDLY GHOSTS (1987) and THE DEVIL NEXT DOOR (2005). CARVER'S GATE was an official selection at the 1996 Atlantic Film Festival and the 1st International Film Festival of Madrid in 1997.
In addition to his film endeavors, Inkol has also ventured into comic book writing, penning the Rip-Off Press series NUT RUNNERS, illustrated by Stuart Immonen. Furthermore, he wrote the play UNINVITED, which was successfully mounted at both the New Ideas Festival and SummerWorks Festival in 2002. Inkol's passion for cinema also led him to review movies for VIDEO WATCHDOG MAGAZINE from 2006 to 2009.
Beyond his creative pursuits, Inkol is recognized for his extensive research and writing on the Kennedy assassination. His expertise in this area earned him a profile on CBC's news program THE JOURNAL in a 1992 segment titled "The Assassinologist".
