Sidney Balkin, the most seasoned member of V Entertainment Group, has been a pivotal figure in American television since its inception in the 1940s. As the General Manager of CBS affiliate KLEE-TV in Houston, he skillfully guided the station to become the first profitable television station in the country.
Since 1950, Mr. Balkin has remained a driving force in the film and television industry, successfully managing notable clients such as Sid Ceasar and Jan Murray, and producing films like the Golden Globe-nominated "Sweet Hostage". He revolutionized the concept of national tie-in campaigns with Yamaha for "Rosemary's Baby", thereby pioneering national cross-promotions as we know them today.
Prior to joining V Entertainment Group, Sidney Balkin was instrumental in the TV divisions of Brut Productions, Dimension Pictures, and Four Star TV. Throughout his illustrious career, he has amassed an impressive portfolio of motion picture and television projects, while continuing to create original television series and movies-of-the-week for V Entertainment Group.
