Sidney Greenbush, born Sidney Robyn Danae Bush on May 25, 1970, in Hollywood, California, is the identical twin sister of Rachel Lindsay Rene Bush. Their father, Billy Bush, is an actor who starred in films such as "Five Easy Pieces" and "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore". They also have a brother Clay and a mother Carole Kay Bush.
Sidney and her twin sister Lindsay had their first break sharing the role of Jill Hayden in the 1973 television film "Sunshine". The twins were then recommended for the role of Carrie Ingalls in the series "Little House on the Prairie" and were signed by the show's creator Michael Landon.
The pilot of Little House premiered on March 30, 1974, and was a hit. The twins were billed as Lindsay Sidney Greenbush and appeared in the show for eight seasons. During their time on the show, they built a fanbase across the country and appeared in magazines, commercials, and other projects.
After leaving Little House in 1982, both sisters struggled to find suitable roles. Lindsay guest-starred in Matt Houston and auditioned for the part of Dorothy Gale in "Return To Oz", but was passed over due to being considered too old. Sidney starred as Amy McVickers on "Hillie and Hambone" in 1984.
Outside of acting, the twins appeared in magazines, commercials, and other projects. In 1978, they wrote to Amy Carter, the daughter of President Jimmy Carter, and were invited to the White House.
With no parts and auditions, the twins retired from the acting business and decided to continue with their High School studies. They graduated in 1988 at Santa Monica High School.
