Simone Biles, a talented performer, was born in Detroit, Michigan, with a strong inclination towards the arts. Throughout her childhood, she nurtured her creative side by playing the violin, singing, and engaging in various sports. As she grew older, Simone's passion for acting intensified, leading her to focus on this craft.
During her freshman year as an English major at Howard University, Simone took a theatre course for non-majors, which ultimately solidified her commitment to acting. She graduated with a minor in Theatre arts, marking the beginning of her professional journey.
Following graduation, Simone traveled to Oxford, England, where she participated in the British American Drama Academy, taking master classes with renowned actors Ben Kingsley, Alan Rickman, and Jane Lapotaire. This experience further honed her acting skills.
Simone then returned to her hometown of Detroit, Michigan, where she refined her craft by performing in regional theatre productions. In 2015, she made her debut as "Misty Knight" in the Marvel series "Luke Cage." This role led to reprisals in "Marvel's: The Defenders" and subsequent seasons of "Marvel's Luke Cage" and "Marvel's Iron Fist."
In the spring of 2018, Simone made her New York theatre debut in Dominique Morrisseau's "Paradise Blue" at the Signature Theatre. Later that year, she starred in and produced the highly anticipated Orion pictures film, "Jinn," which is set to be released in the fall of 2018.
