Song Seung Hun, a multi-talented individual, was born on October 5, 1976, in the vibrant city of Seoul, South Korea. As a model, singer, and actor, he has made a lasting impact in the entertainment industry.
Song's journey in the world of entertainment began in 1995 when he started modeling for the renowned jeans brand STORM. He soon transitioned to acting, making his debut in sitcoms and TV dramas in 1996.
Throughout his career, Song has been recognized for his exceptional performances in various Korean dramas, including the critically acclaimed "East of Eden", "Autumn in My Heart" (2000),and "Summer Scent".
In 2004, Song ventured into the world of cinema, starring in two films, "Ice Rain" and "He Was Cool". Although neither film received widespread acclaim, Song continued to showcase his versatility as an actor.
However, in late 2004, Song's career was marred by controversy when it was revealed that he had evaded his compulsory military service by taking a drug that made him fail the military's health test. The news sparked a massive scandal, and Song was forced to immediately begin his two-year military service.
In a surprising turn of events, Song's claims of severe diabetes and high blood pressure, which he had made during his late teenage years to avoid military service, were discovered to be false. The South Korean government took swift action, and Song was required to serve the army for two years.
In an apparent show of remorse, Song publicly apologized and began his military service. Despite pleas from his fans to the South Korean government, the government refused to grant Song clemency, fearing that it would lead to widespread unrest and protests.
Song served in the military until 2006, during which time he was diagnosed with high blood pressure. He was eventually discharged on November 15 as a Corporal.
