Søren's academic journey took him to the University of South Alabama, where he successfully pursued and achieved not one, but two bachelor's degrees, one in Film/Television and the other in Music Education, a testament to his diverse range of interests and abilities.
Throughout his collegiate tenure, Søren had the opportunity to hone his skills as a composer, specifically in the realm of film music, under the expert guidance of Thomas Smith, a mentorship that has stood the test of time and continues to flourish to this day.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Søren has also had the privilege of serving as the "Composer in Residence" for Thomas's production company, Fighting Owl Films, based in Mobile, Alabama, a position that has allowed him to apply his creative talents to a wide range of projects and collaborate with a talented team of individuals.
Søren, a multifaceted individual, leveraged his expertise in film music composition to concurrently cultivate a distinguished career in percussion education, seamlessly transitioning from the creative realm to the academic sphere.
As a pedagogue, Søren dedicated himself to mentoring students at both the high school and collegiate levels, sharing his vast knowledge and skills with the next generation of percussionists.
Notably, Søren's teaching endeavors took him back to his alma mater, where he had the opportunity to impart his expertise to students who shared his passion for music.

Søren's academic journey did not cease with the attainment of his undergraduate degrees, as he went on to further his education by enrolling in the esteemed Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program at the renowned Seattle Film Institute. Under the guidance of the accomplished Hummie Mann, Søren diligently worked towards earning his master's degree, which he successfully completed during the summer of 2018. Following his graduation, Søren made the bold decision to relocate to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, driven by his unwavering passion for a career in the film industry.
On the eleventh day of November, in the year two thousand nineteen, a significant milestone was reached in the career trajectory of Søren, as he formally linked up with Verloren Productions, thereby inaugurating a fresh and exciting chapter in his professional life.
