Born on August 6, 1982, in the picturesque town of Saint Catherine, Jamaica, Spice, whose real name is Grace Latoya Hamilton, began her musical journey at a young age. As a student at St. Catherine High School, she would often participate in the esteemed Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) festival, showcasing her talents in the music category and earning numerous medals throughout her formative years. Despite having aspirations to become a chartered accountant, Spice's passion for music ultimately led her to pursue a career in the industry. Following this pivotal decision, she enrolled at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, where she honed her skills in music and drama, laying the groundwork for her future success.
