As the founder of Homegrown Pictures in 2003, Allain has produced a diverse range of films that showcase the talents of emerging and established filmmakers, including Hustle & Flow, Something New, Beyond the Lights, Dear White People, Burning Sands, French Dirty, Leimert Park, Juanita and, the upcoming The Weekend. Her television credits include the critically acclaimed series Dear White People and Life-Size 2.
Prior to establishing her production company, Allain served as the Director of the Los Angeles Film Festival from 2011 to 2016, where she worked tirelessly to increase diversity and inclusion, transforming the festival into a global destination that attracts celebrated artists and tens of thousands of attendees from around the world.
