Person Biography:
As an actor, he has appeared in numerous independent films, including "Another Day in Paradise", "The Beat" (Sundance),"Blues", and "ShangHaiKiss". He has also worked on TV shows such as "DirtySexyMoney" and "The List" on ABC.
On stage, he has played various roles, including Macbeth in "Macbeth", Benedick in "Much Ado About Nothing", Tom in "Glass Menagerie", and Danny in "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea". He has shared the stage with notable actors such as Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Adams, Sandra Oh, and Zachary Quinto.
He was praised for his performance as Joe in the world premiere of "Robots vs. Fake Robots" at the Powerhouse Theater in LA, earning him the title of "outstanding" from Backstage West.
As a playwright/performer, he has gained recognition for his solo work and collaborations with Sekou Andrews. They were invited by HBO to perform their play "no easy choice" at the 12th Annual U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO.
Their play "The Word Begins" earned three Helen Hayes Award nominations and received rave reviews. It has been performed at various theaters across the country, including the Signature Theater, Yerba Buena Center, South Coast Rep, and the New York Public Theater.
He has also written and performed his own one-man shows, including "40 Days", which earned multiple critics' picks and was named the Best Solo Performance of the year by Entertainment Today. His short film "Downsizing" won him the "Best Actor" award, and he was named one of the "100 Faces To Watch" by URB magazine.
In addition to his acting and writing work, he has evolved into a powerful messenger, fusing poetry, comedy, and acting into a transformative experience for companies, organizations, and non-profit groups. He has created customized presentations for various organizations, including TEDMED, NIKE, Sony/Universal, Pioneer Electronics, Farmers Insurance, and Gap Inc.
