Tommy Dreamer, a Canadian semi-retired professional wrestler, has made a lasting impact on the world of wrestling. Currently, he serves as a trainer for WWE's developmental territory, NXT, where he helps shape the next generation of wrestling talent. Throughout his illustrious career, Dreamer has held an impressive 50 titles, solidifying his position as a wrestling legend.
Dreamer's journey in the world of professional wrestling began in 1994, when he started working on the independent circuit. During this time, he was a part of the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts, a promotion founded by the renowned wrestling duo, Matt and Jeff Hardy. As he honed his skills, Dreamer adopted an anti-hardcore gimmick, which proved to be a strategic move, as it opened up more opportunities for him in the industry.
Dreamer's extensive experience includes working for the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, where he wrestled under the ring name Lightning Kid, a moniker previously used by Sean Waltman. He also made appearances for the World Wrestling Federation as a jobber, further refining his craft.
In 2005, Dreamer found himself at the center of a heated feud with Homicide, which culminated in a match at Steel Cage Warfare in New York City. During the bout, Homicide suffered a severe shoulder injury, but chose not to undergo surgery. As a result, he was unable to compete at the subsequent show, Final Battle 2005.
However, Homicide's absence from the ring did not mean the end of his rivalry with Dreamer. In fact, their feud reignited in August 2006, when Dreamer returned to Ring of Honor after a long hiatus. The tension between the two wrestlers continued to build, ultimately leading to a Fight Without Honor at The Bitter End in Philadelphia.
Despite their intense rivalry, Dreamer and Homicide were able to put their differences aside, and even shared a moment of mutual respect after their final match. The two wrestlers shook hands, and Dreamer even allowed Homicide to shave his head, symbolizing their newfound camaraderie.
