Steven is an American actor born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, where his love for the arts began at the tender age of four, participating in school and church productions.
After graduating from Essex Catholic High School in East Orange, New Jersey, he furthered his education at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where he majored in Theater Arts and received the Alumni Theater Scholarship.
Steven has since performed in a wide range of theatrical productions and films, including recent television and film appearances on CBS, NBC, and the Investigation Discovery Channel, as well as in the film "A Nice Girl Like You" starring Lucy Hale.
In addition to his acting career, Steven has also developed a passion for directing, which was sparked by his attention to detail and ability to speak an actor's language. He made his directorial debut in November 2012 with the stage play "I Love You Bunches" for Manhattan Repertory Theater's Hurricane Sandy Relief Benefit.
Since then, Steven has directed six short plays, four short films, three web series, two fashion photo shoots, and co-directed two Off-Broadway plays. His ability to speak an actor's language and passion for the work make him a great director to work with.
Steven has also recently added "producer" to his credits with his short film "Sordid" under his production company, Strickland Media Group.
As a seasoned host and MC, Steven has over ten years of experience specializing in all types of events from A to Z. His professionalism, charisma, humor, wit, and ability to entertain while facilitating make him a standout among hosts.
Steven also produces and hosts his own talk show, Strictly Speaking with Steven Strickland.
