Sudhendu Roy, a celebrated Indian film director, art director, and production designer, made a lasting impact on Hindi cinema, garnering acclaim for his outstanding realistic art direction in the films of esteemed auteur Bimal Roy, including the 1959 releases Sujata and Madhumati, as well as the 1963 film Bandini, which showcased his exceptional skill in creating authentic settings and environments.

He also left an indelible mark on the industry with his dazzling work in films directed by the renowned Subhash Ghai, such as the 1980 film Karz and the 1986 film Karma, which demonstrated his versatility in crafting visually stunning and memorable scenes.
