Born to a family with a rich artistic background, her mother Billie, a former chorus girl, and her father, a musician, who even made a cameo appearance in the film Straw Dogs. Her sister, Pam, is also a part of this talented family. Interestingly, her parents once owned The Court Hotel, a business venture that allowed her to be exposed to the entertainment industry from a young age.
Her early foray into the world of entertainment began at the tender age of four, when she made her stage debut by modeling a dressing gown at a hotel. Unfortunately, her debut was marked by a slight mishap, as she took a tumble and fell on her face. However, this incident did not deter her from pursuing her passion for the performing arts.
As she grew older, she began landing commercials at the age of six, featuring products such as Sugar Puffs, Fish Fingers, and Air lines. Her education took her to the Holy Trinity School in Cookham, Berkshire, where she was a student alongside Fraser Hines and Dennis Waterman. The following year, she continued her studies at the Corona Stage School, again with her classmates from the Holy Trinity School.
At the age of 11, she was back at the Holy Trinity School, this time in Cookham, Berkshire, before rejoining the Corona Stage School with her friends Frazer Hines and Dennis Waterman. Her theatrical training culminated in a performance at London's Apollo in Shaftsbury Avenue, where she starred in the production Country Girl alongside Patrick Mower.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has appeared in over 25 films and has been married to the dashing Simon McCorkindale on the picturesque island of Fiji.
