Susan was born in Abington, Massachusetts, situated south of Boston, where her journey as a performer began at a remarkably young age. By the time she was just six years old, she had already joined a drum and bugle corps, captivating thousands of fans with her talent. Alongside her drumming pursuits, Susan also developed her skills in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, and modern dance, through training at several esteemed institutions in the Boston area.
As she grew older, Susan's passion for the performing arts only intensified, ultimately leading her to pursue a degree in Theatre from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She graduated in 1995 and soon after, made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, driven by her ambition to establish a successful acting career.
In 2003, Susan's personal life took a significant turn as she got married and relocated to Long Beach, Mississippi, situated mere miles from the vibrant city of New Orleans. Here, she has continued to hone her craft, taking on a multifaceted role as an actor, dance teacher, and Pilates/Yoga instructor. To further her knowledge and expertise, Susan regularly attends workshops, where she has had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed industry professionals, including Cheryl Loudin-Kubin, Erica Bream, Cara Rosenbaum, Ryan Glorioso, Rhavynn Drummer, Matthew Morgan, and Matthew Sefick.
Susan's commitment to ongoing education is evident, as she also engages with web-based programs, including those led by the renowned Amy Jo Berman. Moreover, she has received coaching from the talented Lance Nichols and has participated in scene study classes under the guidance of the accomplished Gary Grubbs. Throughout her career, Susan has consistently demonstrated a dedication to her craft, constantly seeking opportunities to refine her skills and push herself to new heights.
