Susan hails from the charming town of Westfield, New Jersey, and pursued her passion for the performing arts at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Her remarkable talent and dedication ultimately led to her originating the iconic role of Sandy in the 1994 Broadway revival of the beloved musical "Grease", which premiered at the esteemed Eugene O'Neill Theatre.
Susan's impressive resume also boasts a standout performance as Evelyn Nesbitt in the American premiere of the critically acclaimed musical "Ragtime", alongside the talented Brian Stokes Mitchell and LaChanze, at the renowned Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles.
In addition to her notable Broadway and National Tour credits, including David Henry Hwang's "Face Value", "Grand Hotel", "Eating Raoul", and "Chess", Susan achieved her lifelong dream of performing on the Great White Way.
Following her success on Broadway, Susan relocated to Los Angeles, where she met her husband, the accomplished actor Christopher B. Duncan, while starring as a series regular on the popular television show "The Jamie Foxx Show". Her character, Cameron Caldwell, was the girlfriend of Braxton, and Susan's charming on-screen presence undoubtedly stole the hearts of audiences everywhere.
The couple's romance blossomed on set, and they are now proud parents of three talented children: actress Charlie Ann Duncan, actor Miles Duncan, and actor Brock Duncan.
