Susan Yeagley is a talented actress who has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She recently starred in Christopher Guest's film Mascots, a parody set in the world of professional mascots, alongside Parker Posey. The two actresses played competitive sisters who are also mascots themselves.
Many fans may recognize Susan from her role as Jessica Wicks in the NBC comedy Parks and Rec. Prior to that, she had a recurring role in the FOX comedy Til Death for several seasons.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Susan initially dreamed of becoming a country singer. However, she soon realized that she didn't have the voice for it and decided to pursue an acting career instead. At the age of ten, she landed her first acting role in an Amy Grant music video and was paid twenty-five dollars, plus an Amy Grant album. She still has the twenty-five dollars, although they are not the original bills.
Susan graduated from the University of Southern California's (USC) Film School with honors and went on to become a member of the prestigious Sunday Company - Groundlings Improv Group. It was during her time with the Groundlings that a casting director saw her perform and cast her in her first film role, Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous.
Susan's impressive film credits also include the Coen brothers' Intolerable Cruelty, Coyote Ugly, Neil Berger's The Lucky Ones, and Blended, starring Adam Sandler. She was even voted one of "Ten Comedians to Watch" by Daily Variety and received a trophy and a chicken dinner in honor of the achievement.
In her personal life, Susan resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son. Although she now calls Los Angeles home, her heart will always be in Nashville, where she grew up.
