Susannah Devereux, a captivating individual with a rich and diverse background, was born in Alicante, Spain, to an English mother and a father from New Zealand. Growing up, Susannah's initial aspirations lay in the realm of dance, with a strong desire to pursue a career as a professional dancer. However, fate had other plans, as an unforeseen accident took place, altering the trajectory of her life.
Fortunately, Susannah's dance training provided a solid foundation for a new path, and she transitioned seamlessly into the world of modeling. With her striking features and captivating stage presence, she became a successful model, traveling the globe and gracing the catwalks of numerous fashion shows.
After years of success in the fashion industry, Susannah felt an insatiable desire to pursue her true calling – acting. She enrolled in the City Acting Studio in Sydney, Australia, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned acting coach Bryon Siron, who had himself been trained by the legendary Stella Adler in New York City.
Susannah's acting journey continued to flourish as she returned to her native New Zealand, where she landed a recurring role on the popular television series "Shortland Street" as Diane Neilson. During her time back in New Zealand, she was invited to participate in a workshop organized by the New Zealand Film Commission, which brought together actors, writers, and directors. It was here that she met writer/director Jonathon Brough, who subsequently penned the film "The Model" specifically for her. The film went on to be selected for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
In 1996, Susannah embarked on a three-week vacation to the United States, but her visit soon transformed into a lifelong journey as she fell deeply in love with the country. She was granted a Green card as an Artist of Extraordinary Ability, allowing her to remain in the US and pursue her acting career.
Since her arrival in the US, Susannah has appeared in numerous independent films alongside notable actors such as Tim Meadows, Danny Trejo, John James, Robin Lively, W Earl Brown, Richard Hatch, Robert Gossett, and Jean Michael Vincent. Her television credits include "The Wild Thornberrys" and more recently, "Creepshow," where she shared the screen with Academy nominee Bruce Davison.
In addition to her acting endeavors, Susannah has also ventured into film and web series production, actively seeking out intriguing female-driven stories to bring to life. Her journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to her craft and her unrelenting passion for the art of storytelling.
