The Soska Sisters, identical twins Jen and Sylvia, are a dynamic duo in the film industry. From a young age, they were fascinated with twisted film, devouring Stephen King novels and sneaking into R-rated video stores to critique bloody horror movie covers.
As they entered the industry, they became dissatisfied with stereotypical roles for identical twins and decided to take matters into their own hands. They trained in martial arts to land stunt roles, attended film school, and even produced and directed their own short film, "Dead Hooker in a Trunk," out of their own pockets.
Their debut film, "Dead Hooker in a Trunk," became an underground sensation, winning multiple awards and earning a cult classic status. The twins then incorporated Twisted Twins Productions to create their own label for future projects, including their highly-anticipated second feature, "American Mary."
The Soska Sisters have been outspoken about equal rights, promoting blood donation and creating PSAs every February. In 2014, they brought new life to the WWE Studios franchise with "See No Evil 2," starring Glenn "Kane" Jacobs and scream queens Danielle Harris and Katharine Isabelle.
In 2015, the twins did a genre jump with the action revenge thriller "Vendetta," starring Dean Cain, Paul "Big Show" Wight, and Michael Eklund. They also teamed up with Daniel Way to create the graphic novel "Kill-Crazy Nymphos Attack!" and collaborated with Marvel Comics on the Night Nurse storyline "The Risk of Infection."
The Soska Sisters are the hosts of the survival horror game-show "Hellevator," which premiered on GSN in 2015. They have also directed a remake of David Cronenberg's 1977 zombie thriller "Rabid" and are set to celebrate the 8-year anniversary of their company, Twisted Twins Productions, in December 2016.
Throughout their career, the Soska Sisters have demonstrated their creativity, ambition, and dedication to their craft, leaving a lasting impact on the film industry and cementing their status as horror icons.
