Biography

Sylvie Cohen was born and raised in a small village in the south of France, where her mother's French and Sicilian ancestry and father's Spanish descent blended together in a rich cultural tapestry. As a child, she was already bitten by the acting bug, performing plays with her friends and even taking on roles in Moliere's plays in the third grade. Little did she know that this early start would lay the foundation for a lifelong passion that would take her to new heights.

As she grew older, Sylvie's love for acting only intensified, and she began to turn her attic in France into an acting studio, where she and fellow actors would rehearse late into the night. This dedication and perseverance eventually paid off when she was selected for a role in "The Vagina Monologues" at the Stand up Live Comedy Club of Phoenix, Arizona in 2012. The performance earned her rave reviews, and she soon found herself in high demand, appearing in independent movies, local commercials, and print ads.

Sylvie's impressive resume boasts credits such as "A Country Christmas" alongside Kevin Pollak, William Shockley, and Illeana Douglas, as well as "Poison Sky" starring Kevin Sorbo and Glenn Plummer. However, it was her chilling portrayal of a psychotic homeless woman in the desert, Miss Crowley, in the film "Speak No Evil" that truly showcased her range and talent. Directed by award-winning director Roze, the film won Best Horror Feature at the Jerome Film Festival in 2013 and was later picked up for distribution by LionsGate Home Entertainment.

As a testament to her versatility, Sylvie has also appeared on TV miniseries and documentaries, including those featured on The Discovery Channel. In addition to her acting career, she has also served as a French dialect coach and consultant for films and plays, and was the French narrator for the film "Love in Five Parts".

But Sylvie's heart belongs to animals, particularly Pit Bulls, as evidenced by her rescue dog Zeena, a Pit Bull she has a special passion for. As an animal activist, she is deeply committed to the care and well-being of dogs, and her dedication to this cause is a testament to her compassionate and empathetic nature.

Throughout her journey, Sylvie has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt to diverse roles and projects, from a millionaire's wife to a psychotic homeless woman. Her life experience, coupled with her natural talent and dedication to her craft, has made her a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.
