Lee Tae-yong, professionally recognized by his mononym Taeyong, is a multifaceted South Korean artist, proficient in the roles of rapper, singer, dancer, and songwriter. He is widely acclaimed for his position as a member and leader of the renowned boy band NCT. Initially, in 2016, he made his debut as part of NCT's inaugural sub-unit, NCT U, followed by his appointment as the leader of the group's second sub-unit, NCT 127, later that same year.
As a songwriter, Taeyong has made significant contributions to the composition of over 30 songs, spanning across four distinct languages, predominantly released through NCT's various units. In 2019, he expanded his artistic horizons by debuting as a member of the South Korean supergroup SuperM, a collaborative project between SM Entertainment and Capitol Records.
