Biography

Tal Anderson is a multifaceted storyteller and advocate for change, utilizing her platform as an actor to promote inclusion and authentic representation in Hollywood. She is renowned for her captivating performances in various TV series, including Netflix's "Atypical" as Sid, a role tailored specifically for her, as well as her appearances in MAX's "The Pitt" and Amazon Studios' "As We See It." Additionally, she lent her voice to the lead character, Tina, in Disney Plus's "Team Chocolate," and guest-starred in NBC's Magnum P.I. Season 5 as Becca Sullivan.

As an autistic artist, Tal employs her unique position to advocate for disability rights in the workplace and inclusivity in front of and behind the camera in Hollywood. She trains with esteemed institutions like the Nancy Banks Studio, the Groundlings for comedy and improvisation, and Voicecaster for voiceover, and has appeared in numerous short films.

Tal is particularly proud of her lead role in a national campaign for the Entertainment Industry Foundation's (EIF) Delivering Jobs initiative in partnership with Best Buddies and Special Olympics, which aimed to promote jobs for disabled individuals. This campaign, which ran from 2019-2020, included two PSAs, magazine print ads, and a Times Square takeover. She became an official ambassador for Delivering Jobs in 2022.

Tal is committed to furthering inclusivity and has taken on several passion projects. She serves as an official ambassador for Awareness Ties, whose mission is to tell stories by real people to create real change, and was recently featured on the cover of the Divergent edition. She is also a speaker with The Inspire Project, which focuses on empowering students to become leaders today through innovative mentor-ship and action, and whose past speakers include renowned figures like Garth Brooks and Dr. Kathryn Sullivan.

Tal's most recent endeavor is promoting her first children's book, "Oh, Tal! Not Today," co-authored with fellow Atypical colleague and award-winning artist, Michael Richey White. All proceeds from book sales are donated to organizations that uplift kids with differences.

When not acting, Tal exercises her creative muscles through editing and writing. She has edited exhibit videos for the Smithsonian Institute and has completed post-production for various independent short and feature-length narrative and documentary films. A self-proclaimed horror movie fan, rock music enthusiast, and true crime aficionado, Tal aims to be seen as a genuine person doing her job authentically and advocating for equality and disability. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her cat, Winifred.
